My name is Norah Wickerson and I am a
-year-old Chartered
Physiotherapist and Nutritional advisor who suffered from undiagnosed
Fibromyalgia for over twenty years.
I qualified in 1980 from Sheffield Hallam University, and
my membership number of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy is 38867. I
have been married to Jim for years, and we have three children
aged , and .
My condition was at its worst after the birth of my last
child. I was almost housebound for three years, and I had not been able to
drive for fifteen years. I found even simple household tasks a challenge. I
now do more in a day than I could manage in about a month when I was ill.
In the year 2000, I discovered that I had Fibromyalgia, and
immediately researched the condition. I devised a plan - which I called The Combination Approach - that within weeks
got me back to better health than I could ever remember. I have been able to
live a normal, active life ever since. I used to be in almost constant pain
for over twenty years; but now even a twinge is rare. I used to struggle to
walk any distance, but now I can run!
Enthused by my new-found health, I wanted to know how I
had got better. I studied for a diploma in Clinical Nutrition, and became
the first and only Physiotherapist and Nutritional Advisor in the UK. This
put me in an excellent position to start treating other Fibromyalgia
sufferers using my Combination Approach to
Successfully Tackling Fibromyalgia. |
